Ridgebacks wrap up home-and-home series vs. Queen's
KINGSTON, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's baksteball team wrapped up the second half of a home-and-home series against Queen's, falling 68-27 in Kingston, Ont. in the ARC.
The Ridgebacks displayed hustle and determination throughout the game, highlighted by an impressive defensive effort that included nine steals and six blocked shots.
Quincy Okubasu anchored the defence with seven rebounds and four blocks, while Kaleah Gosse provided offensive spark with eight points, including two three-pointers. Amarachi Achioso and Adra Barnet added to the Ridgebacks' scoring efforts.
Queen's, led by Katrina Renon's 22 points and 12 rebounds, set an early pace with a strong first quarter. Despite the scoreboard, the Ridgebacks demonstrated persistence and teamwork, showcasing their potential against one of the league's top teams
The Ridgebacks will return back to the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre on Friday, January 24 at 6 p.m. to take on the visiting Brock Badgers in the annual U SPORTS Shoot for the Cure game.
