Curling competes at Brock Invitational
ST. CATHARINES, Ont – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks curling team traveled to St. Catharines, Ont. to compete in the 2025 Brock Invitational.
The men's team started the tournament with a 7-6 win over the Trent Excalibur by stealing the 6th end with three and the 7th with 1. The Ridgebacks also picked up a 6-3 win over the Algoma Thunderbirds in the final game of the weekend. They dropped the rest of their games 2-12 to McMaster, 2-6 to Guelph and 2-8 to Waterloo.
The women's team conceded games to Trent, Waterloo and McMaster before rebounding with a dominating, one-sided game against Algoma. The Ridgebacks quickly gained momentum throughout the match, maintaining consistent scoring in subsequent ends. Algoma managed only one point in the third end, leading to a 13-1 final score.
The Ridgebacks now turn their focus to the OUA Championship hosted by Laurentian for the women's team and Guelph for the men's team.
