OSHAWA, Ont. – Ontario Tech University and the Oshawa YMCA are teaming up to help get the downtown campus active!
The new partnership will allow Faculty of Social Science and Humanities and Education students at Ontario Tech to receive a day pass to the YMCA after showing their valid student ID and proof of their faculty.
Student access will run from September to March annually and includes access to a strength training zone, a cardio zone, a sports gymnasium, a running track, and a 25-meter pool.
"The health of our students is always at the forefront of our minds, and partnering with YMCA Oshawa was a natural fit," said Ontario Tech Athletic Director Scott Barker. "YMCA Oshawa is just a short walk from the downtown campus and will provide our Social Science and Humanities and Education students with access to a wide range of options to get active."
