Hawke pulls in bronze medal at OUA Rowing Championships

Ontario Tech's Kierstyn Hawke captured a bronze medal in the varsity lightweight women's single at the Ontario University Development Regatta and OUA Championships on Friday.

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. –  Ontario Tech's Kierstyn Hawke captured a bronze medal in the varsity lightweight women's single at the Ontario University Development Regatta and OUA Championships on Friday.

Hawke finished third in her race with a time of 8:06.828. This is the second year in a row that Hawke has brought home a bronze medal.

In other results, Ontario Tech's novice women's four placed second in their A final with a time of 4:44.391, while the novice men's eight finished fifth in their B final at 3:38.392.

Other notable finishes included Emma Quinn and Emily Phillips placing sixth in the varsity women's pair, Zachary Dixon finishing sixth in the varsity lightweight men's single, and the varsity women's four crew finishing fifth in their heat.
