Ontario Tech climb to No. 6 in U SPORTS rankings after hot start
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's hockey team has been named No. 6 in the country in the weekly U SPORTS Top 10 rankings after an 8–2 start to the 2025–26 season.
The Ridgebacks are undefeated in their last seven games and are coming off a week where they swept trips to Kingston, Ont., with a 2–1 win over the RMC Paladins and a 5–2 win over the Queen's Gaels.
Ontario Tech's early-season success has been driven by a complete team effort with multiple standout players. Justin Svenson is currently tied for third in the OUA in points with 12, while Antoine Desrochers has 10. Braiden Koran has been making the most of his opportunities and is tied for fourth in goals with six, while Ludovic Dufort is just behind with five.
The Ridgebacks' goalie duo has also provided an anchor in net, with Beckett Langkow sporting a .912 save percentage and Édouard Gauthier fourth in the province at .930.
The Ridgebacks will be back on the road this weekend for a Quebec road trip to take on the UQTR Patriotes and Concordia Stingers.
