Di Giantommaso commits to Ontario Tech men’s hockey
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks men's hockey team has added another offensive weapon with the commitment of forward Lucas Di Giantommaso.
Di Giantommaso brings a proven scoring touch and junior experience across multiple leagues, including the OJHL, OHL and BCHL.
"We are incredibly excited to add Lucas to our program," said Ridgebacks head coach Curtis Hodgins. "He is a highly skilled right shot that can play on both sides of the puck and has an above average shot and release. We believe he will add to our offensive punch right away and look forward to seeing how he develops in our Ridgebacks' colours."
Di Giantommaso showed steady offensive growth throughout his junior career. After posting 19 points (7 goals, 12 assists) in 42 games with the Burlington Cougars in 2022–23, he broke out the following season with 44 points (25 goals, 19 assists) in 38 games. He added four points in five playoff games that year.
The forward also gained experience at the major junior level with the Sudbury Wolves, appearing in games across two seasons.
In 2025–26, Di Giantommaso split time between the Surrey Eagles of the BCHL and the Trenton Golden Hawks of the OJHL. He recorded 13 points (8 goals, 5 assists) in 20 games with Surrey before finishing the season strong in Trenton, tallying 38 points (15 goals, 23 assists) in 26 regular season games. He elevated his play in the postseason, adding 13 points (7 goals, 6 assists) in nine playoff games.
