Late goals push Concordia past Ontario Tech

The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks men's hockey team dropped a 3–1 decision to the Concordia Stingers on Thursday, January 29, at the Campus Ice Centre.

OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks men's hockey team dropped a 3–1 decision to the Concordia Stingers on Thursday, January 29, at the Campus Ice Centre.
 
After a scoreless opening period, Ontario Tech opened the scoring early in the second on the power play. Zachary Marquis capitalized at 3:54, finishing a setup from Braiden Koran and Ben Roode to give the Ridgebacks a 1–0 lead.
 
Concordia answered in the third period, striking for three even-strength goals to swing the momentum. The visitors tied the game midway through the frame before adding two more markers, including an empty-net goal late, to secure the win.
 
Edouard Gauthier made 31 saves in goal for Ontario Tech, while the Ridgebacks went a perfect 1-for-1 on the power play.
 
Ontario Tech will now hit the road for its next contest, travelling to Kingston to face the RMC Paladins on Saturday, January 31, with puck drop scheduled for 2 p.m.
