OUA Curling Championships day one recap
GUELPH, Ont. – The Ontario Tech curling teams traveled to Guelph on Friday to celebrate the start of another exciting OUA Curling Championships.
The women's curling team started their day with a 9-5 win over Windsor, were dominant third and fourth ends made the difference for the Ridgebacks. They also had a 4-8 conceded loss to the Carleton Ravens as their final game of day one. The women's team will play the Waterloo Warriors at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, followed by a game against the TMU Bold at 7:30 p.m.
On the men started with a 9-5 win over McMaster, where a seven point fifth end put the game out of reach of the Marauders. Their second game of the day against Queen's was a 11-4 conceded loss. They'll be back in action early Saturday morning to take on the Western Mustangs and at 4 p.m. they'll take on the Laurentian Voyageurs.
