Baker’s double-double fuels Ridgebacks win
OSHAWA, Ont. — Keon Baker's 30-point performance propelled the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks to a 68–63 win over the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday night at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
Ontario Tech opened strong with 17 points in the first quarter and held control for much of the game, building an 11-point lead early in the third. Waterloo put together a push late in the frame, but the Ridgebacks steadied in the fourth with a 20-point finish to close out the victory.
Baker led all scorers with 30 points and 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. Caleb Kassa added 13 points and 10 boards, while Mark Stoop collected 12 rebounds. Johan Germain chipped in eight points.
Waterloo was led by Cristian Craciun, who finished with 18 points, six rebounds and six assists.
The Ridgebacks return to action next Friday, November 28, when they host the Queen's Gaels at 6 p.m.
