Ridgebacks announce commitment of point guard Ryan Azzi
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks men's basketball team is pleased to announce the addition of Ryan Azzi ahead of the 2026-27 season.
A six-foot-one point guard from Montreal, Que., Azzi joins the Ridgebacks from Ahuntsic College after competing in RSEQ competition at both the high school and CEGEP levels.
Azzi brings a strong all-around skillset to Ontario Tech, highlighted by an impressive 2023-24 campaign with Collège Jean de Brébeuf where he averaged 15.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3 steals per game while earning team MVP honours. He also represented the Lebanese U18 National Team at the Arab Cup during the summer of 2024.
"I'm very proud to commit to Ontario Tech University," said Azzi. "I'm ready to work and grow both on and off the court. I look forward to being on campus very soon."
Azzi is set to enroll in Industrial Engineering at Ontario Tech University.

"Ryan is a tremendous addition to our culture, and we're excited about the character, work ethic, and competitiveness he brings to the group.
