Men's hockey joins men's basketball in top 10
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's hockey team is joining men's basketball as a top 10-ranked team in this week's U SPORTS national rankings.
The Ridgebacks men's hockey team is jumping into the top 10 for the first time this season after defeating the no.2 ranked UQTR Patriotes 4-1 on their annual Heritage Trip to Quebec. The men's hockey program has been on a torrid run over the first 11 games of the season and currently has a 9-2 record. They're currently ranked second in the OUA East.
The Ridgebacks men's basketball team held steady at no.4 in the country with an impressive 109-62 win over the Algoma Thunderbirds on the road. They're currently ranked second in the OUA East with a 4-1 record.
The Ridgebacks basketball teams will finish up their road trip this weekend with a back-to-back in Waterloo against the Warriors and Golden Hawks, but the men's hockey team will return home this week to take on the Brock Badgers on Thursday, November 14 at 7 p.m.
