Ridgebacks defeat Thunderbirds 109-62
SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont – The Ontario Tech men's basketball team defeated the Algoma Thunderbirds 109-62 on Saturday in a complete team showing.
The Ridgebacks featured several standout players, including Ayub Nurhussien had an impressive performance with 30 points, leading the team in scoring. He also contributed significantly with 10 rebounds and recorded 19 made free throws.
Zubair Seyed was another key player, scoring 15 points and leading the team with 7 assists. He also contributed with 2 steals.
Jesse Okeke was perfect from the field, making all six of his shots, and added 18 points, along with 6 rebounds.
The Ridgebacks, who are currently ranked fourth in the nation, now have a 4-1 record on the season with the win. They'll be back in action next weekend with two stops in Waterloo to take on the Waterloo Warriors and Laurier Golden Hawks.
