OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's lacrosse program opened their 2025 season with a 16-7 win over the McGill Martlets on Saturday morning.
Audrey Taylor chipped in six goals for the Ridgebacks' offence, with Isabella Koppens and Olivia Toll contributing two of their own. Jia Leblanc, Jordyn Merriam, Stephanie Park, Reese Peacock and MacKenzie Renaud also added to the scoring with a goal each.
In the second game of the day, the Ridgebacks lost to the Queen's Gaels 18-5, with Taylor adding two more goals to her tally, while Koppens, Toll and Leblanc chipped in one apiece.
The Ridgebacks will head out on the road next weekend when they take on the Toronto Varsity Blues and Trent Excalibur on Sunday, September 14.
