Ridgebacks begin road trip at Algoma
SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks women's basketball team fell to the Algoma Firebirds 70-56 on Saturday as they tipped off a three game road trip.
Elliot Cowan led the Ridgebacks with a standout performance, scoring 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting. Cowan's contributions included a team-high four 3-pointers made and five steals.
Amarachi Achioso also made significant contributions with 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Kaleah Gosse added 11 points and showcased defensive prowess with five steals. Quincy Okubasu contributed defensively with two steals and eight rebounds. These players were instrumental in their team's efforts on both ends of the court.
The Ridgebacks will finish up their road trip next weekend with two stops in Waterloo to take on the Waterloo Warriors and Laurier Golden Hawks.
