OSHAWA, Ont. – Ryan Hastings of men's curling and Emily Crowe of women's curling have been named Ontario Tech athletes of the week for the period ending on January 19.

Hastings led the men's curling team to a 7-6 win in their first game of the Brock Invitational against the Trent Excalibur. With a strong performance in the sixth and seventh ends, Ontario Tech turned the game around, sealing their win in a thrilling final end.  They also picked up a 6-3 win over the Algoma Thunderbirds to end the weekend.

Crowe and the Ridgebacks women's curling team picked up a big 13-1 win over the Algoma Thunderbirds at the Brock Invitational.

The men's and women's curling teams are now preparing for the OUA Championship with the women's starting on January 30, and the men's starting on February 7.
